Ontario, British Columbia and Manitoba issue invitations to apply for provincial nomination
Three provinces have invited candidates in most recent draws.
Ontario, British Columbia and Manitoba have issued invitations to apply to candidates through recent rounds of Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws.
Most Canadian provinces and territories (except Quebec and Nunavut) have their own PNP. Through these programs, interested candidates may be invited to apply for provincial nomination. Getting a provincial nomination can help you get permanent residency.
Quebec's immigration program is administered by the province, unlike Canada. Quebec is the only province that controls all economic class immigration.
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) has 105,000 permanent residents each year. It started in 1998 and the number of PNP admissions has grown steadily every year since then. Both the federal and provincial governments see this as an effective tool for promoting economic development outside urban centres.

Ontario
On January 10, Ontario issued 404 invitations to candidates in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker category. Two of the invitations were issued as part of the Economic Mobility Pathways program. The draw is for candidates with skilled trade occupations who have a full-time job offer in a skilled occupation in TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC). Eligible candidates need to score 35 points and above.
The province announced on Dec. 22 that it had invited the largest number of candidates allocated that year. In 2022, Ontario issued invitations to a total of 9,750 candidates.
The province said new applications and applications already submitted to the OINP will continue to be accepted and considered based on the program's 2023 nomination allocation.
